The Midweek Devotion Theme Wednesdays, 10:00 AM During the Season of Advent (the Wednesdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas), we will spend time with George Herbert's poetry. All are invited to join us for one or all sessions.
A Healing Service with Holy Eucharist follows at 11:30 AM. . Come enjoy bargains and treats for gift giving and to fill your home with holiday spirit and good cheer. The hospitality committee is seeking donations of items for sale. They are looking for items that will appeal to holiday shoppers and request that donations not include books, clothing, vases, or other glassware and dishes.
Contemplative Advent Worship, Sunday, December 15, 4:00 PM quiet music, candlelight, readings, and prayers for those seeking comfort and rest. A time of original and arranged music and writing by Fr. Douglas entitled "This Quiet Night" written for St. Francis by the Sea.
Considering baptism for yourself or a loved one? The next liturgical day for baptisms in the life of the church is January 12, 2025, The Baptism of Our Lord. If interested in arranging a baptism for this day (or another day), speak with Fr. Douglas. Spirit Chats are coming to St. Francis by the Sea throughout the season of Epiphany 2025. Curious? Great! More information to come!
Confirmation, Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows, and Reception into the Communion (aka joining St. Francis officially) takes place June 15, 2025 which is the day of our Episcopal Visitation with The Rt. Rev. Thomas J. Brown. There is a group already forming that will prepare for these rites. Preparation begins Sunday evening, April 27 and continues subsequent Sundays through June 8. Let Fr. Douglas know of your interest.
Committee Chairs when scheduling meetings, please let the church office know about your meetings and events for scheduling purposes on the master calendar.
Also, remember to include a Warden and the Rector in your meeting plan. Coffee Hour and Altar Flower Dedication. There are remaining slots for Coffee Hour hosts and Altar Flower Dedications through the end of the year. All are welcome to host and dedicate! The sign-up charts are located outside of the undercroft kitchen.

Thanksgiving sign-up sheets are in the Narthex. Every year, thanks to your generous donations we provide complete Thanksgiving dinners for 12 families selected by H.O.M.E. You may sign up to contribute today or by calling the church during office hours.
This year, H.O.M.E. has let us know that they are short 150 turkeys. To contribute to the purchase of additional turkeys, please send a check to the attention of Kevin Hunt at St. Francis, with “turkey” written in the memo line. Delivery to H.O.M.E. will be on Sunday, November 24, following the 10 am service.
Nonperishable items can be dropped off at any time. Please bring perishables to the church that Sunday.
The Christmas Fair will be held here on Saturday, December 7th from 10 until 2.
